The Detroit Pistons were up by three on the Chicago Bulls as time was winding down but Derrick Rose was not about to let his team down, the point guard brought the ball up the court and with 6.4 seconds left in the game sank the game tying three forcing the game into overtime. The Bulls ended up going on to win the game by a final score of 100-94 being led by Derrick Rose who had 24 points with 9 assists and also Joakim Noah who had a tremendous game with 20 points and 17 rebounds. The Bulls also had three other players in double figures including Carlos Boozer with 15 points as well as Richard Hamilton and Kyle Korver with 13 points apiece. The Bulls as a team shot 42.9% from the floor compared to the Pistons who shot 39.3% from the floor. The Bulls were once again able to pull out the close victory with their continued strong defensive efforts and hustle on the floor game in and game out.
Derrick Rose looked somewhat like his former injury-free self out there tonight in the game against the Pistons and bounced back from his 1-13 effort against the Miami Heat on Thursday Night. Rose finished 9-22 and hit a clutch three pointer to tie the game towards the end of regulation. The nine assists that Rose had tonight was also a good sign that he is getting back on track with his teammates and with the playoffs upcoming that is a big key for the Bulls if they want to have a good chance at a run for the NBA Title.
