Time to come home. I am sure the Angels will be happy to be off the road.
They should have gone 4-2 on the 6 game trip that took them to Minnesota and New York. Instead, they went 2-4, and are looking up at the all the teams in the West.
The Halos gave up 34 runs in the 6 games, while scoring 31, so I guess a 2-4 was about right.
That CJ Wilson sure can pitch. He had never won a game against the Yankees. His masterful start on Saturday, on national TV, was something to enjoy.
At this point I’m glad that the Angels gave the left hander a 5 year deal.
Albert Pujols keeps getting hits, but none have left the park. This is the longest he has ever started the season without going deep.
Still wish Mike Scioscia would let Peter Bourjos play every day. It is a huge step down when Vernon Wells takes over in center.
For one inning Jerome Williams looked like a perfect fit for the 5th starters spot. 9 batters later he was on the bench, having allowed 5 earned runs. He pitched pretty well last year so he deserves another start, or two.
The bullpen got lit up….again. One guy who didn’t was Rich Thompson. Thompson was recently DFA’d. There is some team that will give him a shot. Maybe he just needs a change of scenery, because in clutch situations with the Halos, he stunk.
Howard Kendrick sure is enjoying hitting in front of Pujols. In the last 2 games in New York, Kendrick went 6-10 with a home run and 3 RBI.
Angels get their first look at Oakland this week. The A’s are a pesky bunch that is going to give the Angels trouble.
Can’t wait for the Halos to get it all together. When they do they are gonna punish some teams.

O'kay I'll talk about myself a little. I've been working in the television/radio industry for over 21 years. I started at 2 so I am just a tad over 21 (That is a joke). My career has taken me around and and even out of the United States. Right now I call Vegas home, but I just never know where life will take me next. Until 2002 my irrational love for the California/Anaheim/LAA had taken me down some very dark roads, but with Arte Moreno in charge I finally saw the a light at the end of the road. I really love most every sports and having as much fun as possible.
