Angels have to holding in pen-t up anger as they continue to struggle

It been 12 games, but the Angels problems are out there to be seen by all.

Albert Pujols is pressing. I am sure he is hearing from everyone that he has not his a home run. He’s still getting on base, and the long balls will come. If there is one guy not to work out, it’s #5 at 1st.

The Angels bullpen is atrocious. Say what you will about me ragging on Kevin Jepsen, but the man should not be working out his problems in Anaheim.

Victor Rojas said it right when he said that if Jepsen doesn’t get it together he won’t be here long. Is two blown games long enough? He crashed and burned in Minnesota, and on Tuesday vs. the A’s.

I like Mark Gubicza as an announcer, and as a person, but is with he would stop saying that Jepsen has great stuff. Just because he has great stuff doesn’t mean he should be able to consistently throw away winnable games. He should be in Salt Lake.

Plus, his blow ups kill the Angels mentally. After he blew the one in Minnesota, the Halos were shut out the next night in New York. After he blew it against Oakland on Tuesday, the Halos were blanked the next night. Not a coincidence.

Nice to see the Angels still can’t hit Tyson Ross, or pitch to Daric Barton. About 10 days ago I watched them both beat down the Las Vegas 51′s as a members of the Sacramento River Cats. If the A’s have that much depth to keep those two in the minors, maybe the Angels should try to tap into their system.

The Angels offense is really slumping. Only 3 of their 9 opening day starters are hitting over .300, and Mark Trumbo doesn’t play because he can’t field at 3rd. I hope he gets better because good things happen when he is in the lineup.

Kendrys Morales scares me every time he runs. He looks to be laboring. I keep thinking he is gonna hurt himself again. Second half of the season, the other teams better watch out.

What is wrong with Ervin Santana? For the third straight time Santana gave up 3 first inning runs. He can’t keep giving up runs early, especially with his offense still struggling to find themselves. Mind you, in two of the starts it wouldn’t have mattered if he gave up one run, because the team was shutout.

Nice to see the Angels lockup Erick Aybar for a few years. Now the Angels management has done their jobs, it’s time for the team to start doing theirs.

I know it’s only been 12 games, but the last place Angels trail the 1st place Rangers by 6 games–wow! Thankfully, these April games don’t count.
