The Bulls were able to win the opening game of their series against the Philadelphia 76ers by a final of 103-91, but they did not come out
unscathed. The Bulls superstar Derrick Rose suffered a torn ACL. Rose drove the lane and did a jumpstop and came down awkwardly on his left leg late in the fourth quarter with the Bulls leading by 12. The decision for Thibodeau to leave Rose in with a double digit lead and all of the injuries that Rose has suffered this year was kind of head-scratching. The Bulls had the game well in
hand and they had the opportunity to rest their start player and have him ready for next game but with about a minute and a half to go the Bulls suffered a devastating loss and an injury that hurts their Championship hopes immensely. The Bulls
were able to put up a solid record without Rose in the regular season but in the playoffs it is a different story compared to the regular season. Hopefully Coach Thibodeau can build up the confidence of the rest of the team and keep everyone buying into his philosophy so that they are still on track to make a run in the playoffs even if they are missing their best player.

Before exiting with the season ending injury Rose was leading the Bulls to the victory with a near triple-double as he had 23 points, 9 rebounds,
and 9 assists. The bench production was not great today as they only had 23 points total but the Bulls did not need it today but they will need it
throughout the rest of their playoff stint. Aside from Rose, Richard Hamilton had a solid game putting up 19 points and Luol Deng put up 17 points. They had solid production from players this game but they need more production from Carlos Boozer, especially now since Rose is out and the rest of the Bulls need to step up to help propel this team to victory.
