Hey, hey, hey, Albert finally makes his presence felt

So Albert Pujols hits one home run through the Angels first 37 games. I show up, and he hits a home run in back to back nights. Forget Jim Eppard, hire me. Pujols seems to like it when I’m in attendance–haha.

The Angels lit up Gavin Floyd on Wednesday. Floyd had been pitching lights out until he ran into a suddenly potent Halo offense.

Even Vernon Wells decided to join the attack, hitting a home run himself. Forget what I said, Keep Eppard.

Mickey Hatcher may not be around anymore, but Mark Trumbo can still hit. Trumbo went 7 for 8 in the 2 games against the Sox.

He should rarely, if ever, not see his name in the lineup.

Angels did everything right in winning 7-2 in game 1.

They did everything wrong in losing game 2, 6-1.

Mike Trout isn’t used to playing right field, as he looked tentative on fly balls. He also dropped one hit right to him.

By tentative, I mean he has to call Howard Kendrick, who let a ball drop between him and Trout, that was surprisingly ruled a hit.

Even Maicer Izturis got into the act, letting another ball tip off his mitt, that was once again ruled a hit.

C.J. Wilson may pay for that back to back start in Texas last week. He didn’t look good at all on Thursday, walking a career high 6 batters in just over 3 innings of work. Some of his pitches weren’t even close. I hope this doesn’t affect him the rest of the season.

On the other hand, Jerome Williams is unbeatable at home. In 2012, he is 4-0 with a 2.09 ERA in Anaheim, and 0-1 with a 7.26 ERA on the road. Williams next 2 starts are on the road, so let’s hope he improves on that stat.

Time for three quick interleague games. The Angels play 3 in San Diego starting Friday, then get 3 in Oakland, and 4 in Seattle.
