Angels on the mark, as they complete the sweep in Seattle

With Albert Pujols and Alberto Callaspo finally being kept under control by the Mariners, someone else had to stand up for the Halos.

Up steps Kendrys Morales and Mark Trumbo.

Solo home runs for the 2 Angels sluggers helped the Halos complete the sweep of the M’s. 4-2 was the final.

Once again, I was way off. I said the Halos would be happy to get a split. I never envisioned a sweep.

I think people have to be patient with Morales. The guy has missed most of the past 2 seasons with his ankle injury. To expect him to come back hitting like he did before he broke his ankle, is unrealistic.

The man can hit, and he is beginning to prove it. 3-4, with 2 RBI on Sunday.

Maybe everyone was right when they said that once Pujols starts hitting the rest of the team would follow suit.

Pujols has carried the Halos the past few nights, and now the other hitters picked him up.

C.J. Wilson is quietly putting together a great season. 2 hits, 1 earned runs in 6 innings before a blister forced him out of the game.

The Halos pen is nails right now, so I knew they would close the door. I couldn’t say that the first 40 games, or so.

The Angels are now in 2nd place, jumping the A’s and Mariner’s during this 7 game trip which saw them go 6-1.

They get the Yankees starting tomorrow. That should be fun.
