Norichika Aoki went 3-5 with 2 RBI and 3 runs scored batting lead off as the Milwaukee Brewers improved to 26-31 and took the series against the Chicago Cubs, who fell to 19-38.
Aoki, who’s only MLB home run was an inside the parker to break up a perfect game by Colorado’s Jhoulys Chacin in the 4th inning back on April 21, blasted two homers to right field including the game winning walk-off in the bottom of the 10th.
Randy Wolf went 6 2/3 innings giving up 4 hits and 1 run while striking out 6 and walking 2 in a no decision for the Brewers. Matt Garza started for Chicago and went 6 innings giving up 4 hits and 2 runs while also striking out 6 and walking 1 before giving way to bullpen.
The Brewers led 2-1 entering the 8th inning, but Francisco Rodriguez gave up a two run homer to pinch hit first baseman Bryan LaHair as the Cubs took a 3-2 lead.
The Brewers tied it in the bottom of the 8th on a ground rule double to deep center scored Aoki. That set the stage for the heroics in the bottom of the 10th.
Brewers closer Jon Axford got the win while Casey Coleman received the loss for the Cubs.
The Brewers will host the San Diego Padres at Miller Park this weekend while the Cubs travel to Minneapolis to face off against the resurgent Minnesota Twins.

While my past experiences have been in science and engineering, I have recently found a passion for Sports Administration and Event Management. I have been a volunteer intern for two years with the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and have met some great people. I've gained knowledge in the areas of Event Management, Broadcasting, Sports Information, Stat Running, and Athletic Administration and I've thoroughly enjoyed working in every one of those facets. I would love to start a career in athletics if an opportunity arises.
