After constantly training for the past nine weeks there’s two things the veterans are looking forward to- spending time with their families and training on their own. The next time they return to their newly named “Under Armor Performance Center” it’ll be time to hit the ground running- and fast. By the time everyone returns, sometime at the end of July, they will have a little more than three weeks before their first pre-season game.
Before being sent home the team had a mandatory three-day minicamp. Proving themselves, the Ravens are looking strong. After being asked if he was happy with the minicamp, head coach, John Harbaugh answered “I’m really happy. I’m really happy. It was a really good minicamp. I love the way we worked. I love the mindset of our guys, the very determined mindset. They are having fun, working hard, and that’s what you ask for – spirited, spirited.” Harbaugh seems positive in his team and their desire to succeed this season.
The rookies still have the rest of this week and next before being able to go home, but this time alone might be just the right potion to get them into tip top shape before facing ‘the big dogs’ again.
The next time these men are together it will be all for all. Everything will count, everyone will be battling it out to make the final fifty-three man roster.
