If there’s one thing the Ann Arbor native, John Harbaugh, is passionate about other than football it’s our military men and women. On Wednesday, May 23rd Baltimore’s head coach was presented with the Outstanding Civilian Service Award.
Harbaugh stated of the ceremony, The event, for me and my wife Ingrid, was a once in a lifetime experience. To be around such outstanding men and women who sacrifice their lives for our country, for our freedom. He then goes on to say, The military and our soldiers ARE the Baltimore Ravens’ inspiration each week we take that field. We strive to exemplify the true intelligence, strategy, courage and domination these men and women achieve every day of their lives.
It is simply amazing how much this man is influenced by our military personnel. On a regular basis he ties in their heroic acts and stories to motivate his team, influencing them to be better people and to be grateful for the lives they live.
