Conrad’s shot the difference in Rays win

The Tampa Bay Rays beat the Baltimore Orioles 3-1 behind a great outing by Jeremy Hellickson. Hellickson (5-6, 3.42 ERA) pitched into the seventh inning, picking up his first win since May 16. Both Hellickson and Orioles starter Wei-Yin Chen (8-6, 3.82 ERA) looked sharp early on, as they each allowed just one baserunner through the first three innings. Hellickson would blink first, however, giv...

The Nashville Predators have matched the Philadelphia Flyers offer sheet to RFA Shea Weber that was worth $110 million dollars over 14 years. The defenseman will remain with the club that he has captained for the last 2 seasons. Nashville won't be able to trade their star defenseman until the end of the 2012-2013 season. With Ryan's antics come mistakes; whether it be claiming which team is best in New York, stating he would have won at least two Super Bowls if he was the head coach of another t...

Johnson scored 11 TDs in the first 8 games of the season and looks primed for another stellar season in the Lions pass first offense. The Good ̵...

Breaking Down the Western Conference Offseason

The NBA's offseason has “officially” been underway for less than a month still, but things are already seeming to wind down. For a while there, though, players were being traded and amnestied seemingly every day. Free agents were flying off the shelves like Tickle-Me-Elmos (1998 references: 1). Dwight Howard has gone from being a Net to being a Rocket to being a Laker, all while rem...

I don't advocate abusing alcohol in any way, shape or form. I do advocate having a good time, however. Sometimes the two do coincide and some wonderful memories are the end result. Alcohol can cause a lot of pain and can dull a lot of pain. A handy thing, especially after having to endure the Hamilton faithful after the Tiger-Cats cruised to a 39-24 victory over the Montreal Alouettes last Satu...

The NCAA weighed in to provide a punishment for Penn State’s cover up of Jerry Sandusky’s abusing children. In the end $60 million, plus $13 million, plus 10 scholarships a year for four years, and no post-season games during that time means very little. For one, the four men at the heart of this crime are gone from Penn State and one of them is gone from this earth. All of Joe Paterno’s ...
