The NBA has released the 2012-13 schedule and unlike last year, fans will have games to look forward to in November. The Miami Heat will be looking to defend their second NBA Title. Fans in Miami certainly hope that they do a better job than they did in 2007, when they were swept out of the 1st round of the playoffs by Chicago. The quest to repeat as NBA Champions will begin on November 30th as they host the Boston Celtics. This game will probably be a little awkward for Ray Allen, the Heat’s free agent acquisition that chose Miami over his former team, Boston.
The other big game that jumps off the schedule is Christmas Day, when the country will be treated to an NBA Finals rematch as the Heat host OKC. Traditionally, the games played on this holiday mark the real beginning of the NBA season, as the NFL season moves towards the playoffs, the NBA starts to draw more attention. Right now the basketball world will watch the Olympics, but come November the NBA will be back. Of course in either case, the focus is on LeBron James.
