Last night Peyton Manning made arguably the biggest preseason debut in NFL history as he kicked off his Bronco career on a cold and rainy night in Chicago against the Bears. In very brief playing time, Manning had a below average performance, going 4/7 for 44 yards, as well as throwing an interception. Although we finally saw Manning in action, we did not get to see how he reacted to getting hit, which will still remain a big question mark and mystery to Bronco and NFL fans alike. As for the game itself, the Broncos destroyed the Bears 31-3. The Broncos played four different quarterbacks last night, ranging from former Bear Caleb Hanie, to household names like Adam Weber and Brock Osweiler; while the defense held the Bears, albeit without any playing time from Jay Cutler or Matt Forte, to just 132 total yards and 8 first downs. Lance Ball, Xavier Omon, Jason Hill, and Cornelius Ingram all found the end zone for Denver, while Matt Prater finished out the scoring for the Broncos. Denver will host the Seahawks next Saturday, August 18th.
