Heisman Trophy finalist Tyrann Mathieu, on Friday, was cut from the LSU roster for repeated violations of the substance abuse policy at LSU. The “Honey Badger” was suspended for a game last year because of the same reason and was undergoing counseling.
Mathieu is currently considering to play for McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He would be able to join and play right away with any team in the FCS.
If Mathieu wanted to play for a major college program he would have to sit out for one season and then join a squad for his senior year.
