With all the injuries mounting on their defensive tackles, the Giants had to waive defensive end Justin Trattou and linebacker Clint Sintim in order to make moves to bring in extra DTs.
Trattou and Sintim are both injured. Trattou has an ankle/heel injury. Sintim was on the teams PUP list, has failed his physical.
Sintim suffered a torn ACL last preseason and hasn’t played since. He was a second round pick for the Giants back in 2009 and also tore his ACL in 2010. In 24 games played, Sintim had nine tackles.
The Giants made new additions to their roster, adding DT Bobby Skinner and cornerback Laron Scott. On Wednesday the team signed DTs Oren Wilson and Carlton Powell. Defensive tackle Marcus Thomas is working out for the Giants and could be added to the roster in the future.
