We’d be lying if we said the game tonight didn’t rest on the shoulders of kickers Billy Cundiff and Justin Tucker. Losing to Detroit 27-12, the only points scored for the Ravens were by the kicking pair.
Cundiff scored two field goals from 33 and 44 yards where Tucker completed kicks from 45 and 50 yards. Luckily for their Ravens, they were perfectly on the money tonight.
The kicking competition is heating up heading into the next two pre-season games. Cundiff and Tucker have both been 100% in each pre-season game. Where Cundiff has experience Tucker has an overall better percentage of completed kicks in this season’s camp. So what will be the deciding factor? If they can both keep their 100% game streaks who will the Ravens pick? Who would you, as part of the Raven Nation, like to see in purple and black run onto M&T Bank Stadium’s field on September 10th?
