Pretty bad start for the Redskins but almost a 4th quarter comeback win with 21 points alone in the 4th quarter with
Rookie QB Cousins. RG3 didn’t have such a great game, who recorded his first professional fumble and the Skins lost 2
very key defensive players Brian Orakpo and Brandon Meriweather to injuries.
It was all Bears and Culter in the 1st quarter chalking up 14 points, but the Skins did manage 10 points in the 2nd, 7 of
which were a TD punt return by Brandon Banks, which was NOT reversed due to penalties as usual.
RG3 was under lots of pressure and did not look comfortable in the pocket. Cousins on the other hand did, but 1st half versus 2nd half in preseason is apples
to oranges. Cousins racked up 3 TDs to give the Redskins the lead 31-30 with 2 minutes remaining but the Bears would manage
the yardage needed to get within field goal range and the Bears kick a huge 57 yarder to take back the lead and the game.
So what’s the good news? Orakpo’s MRI showed “nothing serious at all,” according to Ben Dogra, the linebacker’s agent. As for Meriweather? His MRI on his knee also showed “no significant damage.”

I lived in Greene County Virginia for about 5 years of my childhood. This span of time was enough to imprint the love of the Washington Redskins (and hate of the Dallas Cowboys) into my life forever, even though I am Canadian and still live in Canada. I am in no way an expert on sports, football, or even the Redskins, but I do absolutely adore them, their fans and their home state(s). My favourite Redskin is and will always be Darrell Green (not because we share the same last name lol). I've adored Chris Cooley since he joined the team from the 2004 draft and love London Fletcher. Hail to the Redskins! See you October 30th in my home town of Toronto.
