This year’s draft was all about Luck and RG3. Who would be picked first? Who was worth more? Who was better? They have been analyzed down to their choice of socks and now, after Luck went first and RG3 second (after a lot of sacrificial picks by the Skins) they now meet face to face in preseason. This will be the only time they’ll play against each other this year.
Both QBs had great first games and both had not so good games the second. Both scored TDs in their opening games and both recorded turnovers in their second, although Luck had 2TDs to RG3’s 1. With these 2 QBs they have seen the err in their ways from last week and you’ll be sure to see some differences on Saturday (4PM on the NFL Network). So no matter the outcome, this will be over analyzed to the extreme.
One other key point for RG3 is that this will be his first official, although preseason, home game. Expect some fireworks. This game is also being played on Canadian cable so I am stoked!!!
Injuries for this game:
RB Evan Royster: “It’s nothing season-ending, one or two games, we hope,” Shanahan said on Thursday. “We’ll just keep our fingers crossed that with a little rehab, they’ll be ready to go at least by the first week.”
RB Tim Hightower: “We just don’t want to put him out there too early,” he said, “It’s my background with that, if you put him out there too early, there’s usually a setback. Hopefully, there’s no setback.
OT Trent Williams and G Chris Chester: “[Chester] had a good few days of practice,” Shanahan said. “He’s gotten better each day. Hopefully, there’s no setback in this game.”

Written by Mercedes Green
I lived in Greene County Virginia for about 5 years of my childhood. This span of time was enough to imprint the love of the Washington Redskins (and hate of the Dallas Cowboys) into my life forever, even though I am Canadian and still live in Canada. I am in no way an expert on sports, football, or even the Redskins, but I do absolutely adore them, their fans and their home state(s). My favourite Redskin is and will always be Darrell Green (not because we share the same last name lol). I've adored Chris Cooley since he joined the team from the 2004 draft and love London Fletcher. Hail to the Redskins! See you October 30th in my home town of Toronto.
