Thursday night at M&T Bank Stadium might have been Veterans Night but there was one veteran who wasn’t on the field. The battle for the kicking position this season has been hot, but last night there was no competition on the field. The rookie kicker from the University of Texas took every kick, leaving veteran Billy Cundiff on the sidelines.
Once again, Tucker was perfect. Making field goals from thirty-three and fifty-three yards the rookie proved he is capable from all lengths. So what does this mean for Billy Cundiff? Don’t jump to conclusions just yet, the nine year veteran has proven his capability to play a whole game where Tucker had not.
As you can imagine practices heading into next week’s game in St. Louis will be head to head. You can plan on seeing Cundiff and Tucker fight this one until the end.
