Remember those who thought Vince Young would replace Ryan Fitzpatrick as the Bills starting quarterback? Well, worry no longer because the 2006 rookie of the year has been released. It appeared that Young couldn’t effectively run the offense and with no touchdowns and 2 interceptions, releasing him was the next logical step.
The empty roster slot was filled quickly with the acquisition of Seattle Seahawks QB Tavaris Jackson. He was traded by Seattle for an undisclosed draft pick. Jackson (6’2” 225) started 14-of-15 games played for Seattle in 2011 and set career-highs in attempts (450), completions (271), passing yards (3,091) and passing touchdowns (14).
Where does this leave Tyler Thigpen and Brad Smith? We will soon find out!
