Due To implications with hurricane Isaac, officials at Louisiana Tech have taken steps to postpone their season home opener with SEC newcomers, Texas A&M.
The game is rescheduled for October 13th, which was conveniently available for both teams.
Instead of A&M using the Bulldogs as a warm up game for what should be a bruising inaugural year, they will meet right in the middle of conference play.
What should have been a sure win has now become a mid season hurdle and an opportunity for Louisiana Tech to knock off a team from the undaunted SEC.
Most tragically though, Aggies fans will have to wait another week to flood Kyle Field with maroon and white.
