Week 1 is here and the Texans are hosting the Miami Dolphins. Miami hasn’t looked very good in the preseason, and they didn’t have a very good off season either. They trade Brandon Marshall away to Chicago, then they miss out on the Peyton Manning sweepstakes, they did get Ryan Tannehill in the draft, but then they sign Chad Johnson, who quickly got released. They arguably have the worst WR group in the NFL. Houston on the other hand has it all flowing right now, and should easily blow out the Dolphins. The only threat the Dolphins have on offense is Reggie Bush and he had his first good season as a running back last year. The Texans defense should just focus on stopping the run and making Tannehill beat them. I think Tannehill sees a lot of blitzes, makes some bad decisions, and making it really difficult for them to score.
Miami’s defense is pretty adequate but not when the opponents’ offense is on the field most of the game and has a short field to work with. No defense can be successful for 60 minutes facing those circumstances. Arian has a great day which allows Schaub and Andre to hook up a few tines and get a TD. Texans defense forces 4 turnovers making it that much easier for this already potent offense.
Houston wins 31-10
Arain Foster 28 carries 125 yards 2 TD’s (if he plays he has a knee injury and is a game time decision)
Matt Schaub 15-21 198 yards 2 TD’s
Andre Johnson 8 catches 90 yards TD
