The Philadelphia Eagles will look to get off to a fast start in 2012. A poor season a year ago is behind them. They kickoff their 2012 campaign against a young and growing Cleveland browns football team.
The Browns will field a rookie quarterback in Brando Weeden. The Eagle will certainly be looking to put pressure on Weeden and force him into making bad decisions with the football. Look for defensive ends Trent Cole and Jason Babin to rush the quarterback relentlessly and cause havoc for the Browns offense.
Sunday’s game will be the first time we get a chance to see Browns first round pick Trent Richardson. If Richardson’s play is as publicized, the eagles will have to certainly key in on him and limit his production. Richardson was a force on the college level at powerhouse Alabama. This weekend we will get our first chance to see if Trent can carry that success over to the NFL level.
There isn’t too much to be said about the Eagles in this game. They are the better team. They are the experienced team and they should win this game decisively. Look for Michael Vick, LeSean McCoy and the Eagles offense to get off to a quick start and put up points.
The Eagles win this game easily but get a valiant effort from an improving Browns team and a defense that finished last season 10th overall in total defense. Eagles over the Browns 28-10.
