Just the facts

Well, my face is red. I predicted an all out win by the Titans, but they did not even cover the spread. Perhaps I just wanted the Pats to feel like an underdog for once. If only in my own heart, but now it is time for the facts.
Brady looked near perfect. But I do not think anyone expected otherwise. When Brady’s previous game is a loss, watch out for the next one. Even if it is months later. But the real game was shown in the defense and running backs.
First and foremost, if Steven Ridley can run like he did against Tennessee for the rest of the season the Pats will go 16-0. And win the Super Bowl this time. He ran for 125 yards and a TD. He averaged 6 per carry and balanced out Brady with 21 carries. He was easily the best back on Sunday, maybe right behind Demarco Murray this week. If there are any fantasy owners looking for a RB, it is time to pick up Ridley.
Next is the defense. There are two things that must be examined when looking at the Pats defense. First, they shut down Chris Johnson. This is no easy task, especially for a team that let up over a hundred yards a game last year. They made them one dimensional and that is how defenses win. But there secondary does yet look up to par.
Tennessee threw for more yard than the Pats and Locker was 73 percent on the field. I was wrong this time about what Locker can do, but I will not be wrong when the Pats are going up against Rodgers or Flacco. They will throw for even more yards and more TDs. So what can the Pats do to keep the wins coming and still not lower the passing yards? There are three things that the Pats must keep doing if they are going to let up these kind of yards.
First, the Titans went 0-2 in the redzone. The Pats have to keep there redzone scores below 35% this year. Two, the Titans were 5-14 on third down. This is pretty much the number, 35%, that has to be maintained throughout the season once again. Finally, 2 turnovers to none. Win the turnover battle.
But after this game, I have more confidence in the Pats than ever. A shut down run defense, a dominant RB, and these three little defensive keys will win them the Super Bowl.
