The Texans are coming off a blowout win over the Miami Dolphins in week 1 and now they have their first divisional game this season. The Jacksonville Jaguars are hosting the Houston Texans. The Jags lost in overtime last week vs the Vikings, but MJD played more than I think most people thought he would and played decent. Blaine Gabbert looked light-years better than he did last season. It was however, only week 1 and against a pretty bad Minnesota Vikings team. The Texans defense is a little better than Minnesota’s and they have a few more offensive weapons as well.
I think Houston’s defense, much like week 1, wins this game. JJ Watt is a monster and looked like he will pick up right where he left off from last year. One thing the Texans should worry about is getting Arian Foster more rushing yards. He only averaged 3 yards per carry last week. It will be a key to get him going early.
Texans win 28-17
Matt Schaub 17-28 215 yards and 2 TD’s
Arian Foster 27 carries 103 yards and TD
Andre Johnson 7 catches 110 yards and TD
Texans defense forces 3 turnovers and hold Maurice Jones-Drew to under 100 yards rushing.
