What we saw Sunday from the Ravens:
- The Raven’s defense as a whole struggled on Sunday. Michael Vick’s versatility opened up passing lanes on the Ravens and Vick ended the game with 371 yards passing and one touchdown. The Raven’s managed to grab two interceptions, one by Bernard Pollard and one by Ed Reed. Despite Reed’s hamstring, he played part of the game Sunday.
- Ray Rice had more rushing yards this week racking up 99 yards Sunday vs. his 68 last Monday. He only had 16 carries this week, making his average run 6 yards per carry. He is an explosive runner and if the Ravens would have given him the ball more they could have controlled the game clock better.
- DeShawn Jackson did not return punts for the Eagles, making the Raven’s punt team more effective. Deonte Thompson for the Ravens had a good game on kickoff return. He had 3 kickoff returns for an average of 33 yards, one breaking for 49 yards. Look out for him to be a game changer for the Ravens.
