Fantasy Football Week 3 Waivers

Andre Brown – Ahmad Bradshaw left Sunday’s game with a neck injury and though he had an MRI on Monday, there is no news as of now on what the diagnosis is, though it has been speculated to be a neck sprain. There is no timetable for his return and he will likely miss the Thursday’s game against the Panthers. Brown, not David Wilson, saw the majority of snaps with Bradshaw out and Brown gained 90 yards on 15 total touches along with a touchdown. He is currently available in 85% of leagues.

Daryl Richardson – It was a surprise to see Steven Jackson on the sidelines for the second half of the Ram’s game against Washington, and it was later revealed that Jackson was nursing a groin injury. Richardson, who took over as the feature back, was stellar 83 yards on the ground and 19 through the air. Jeff Fisher has since said that Jackson could have returned for the game and that he decided to ride the hot hand with Richardson. He has also said that Jackson is fine and is scheduled to start this next week. However, if you are a Jackson owner it would serve you well to handcuff Richardson right away. He is currently available in 94% of leagues.

Donnie Avery – Avery has never been able to solidify a role in the league, being injured off and on with the Rams, but he has appeared to have found his nitch with the Colts and Andrew Luck. He reeled in 9 of his 11 targets this week for 111 yards against the Vikings. He should be a solid add and a decent PPR player while Austin Collie remains out. He is currently available in 92% of leagues.

Danny Amendola – He is an awesome grab in PPR leagues where still available and had 15 catches this last week totaling 160 yards and a TD. He remains the top option amidst a thin receiving core in St. Louis. If you’re in a PPR league and he is available don’t hesitate to grab him. He is currently available in 48% of leagues.

Martellus Bennett – Through 4 years in Dallas Bennett could not get it together, sometimes a change of scenery is just what a player needs. He appears to be the 3rd option behind Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks, but Eli Manning looks for his tight end in the red zone and has found Bennett in consecutive weeks. If you have Aaron Hernandez or were not able to get a top 6 tight end grabbing Bennett should be a priority. He is currently available in 61% of leagues.

Andrew Hawkins – Another strong add for PPR leagues us Andrew Hawkins, though he only had 2 grabs this week, they were for 56 yards and a TD. He has elusive speed and showed in on a spectacular 50 yard score. He should worth grabbing in deeper leagues, but may only be worth monitoring in shallower leagues until he is given a more solid role and playing time in Cincinnati. He is currently available in 88% of leagues.

Brian Hartline – The Dolphins receiving core is suspect, but if you are looking for WR help Hartline could be a solid add for depth during the upcoming BYE weeks. He has developed a clear rapport with rookie QB Ryan Tannehill and outside of Devon Bess is the only WR in Miami worth batting an eyelash towards. He is currently available in 95% of leagues.

Some others to consider: Mikel LeShoure (available in 62% of leagues), Pierre Thomas (available in 51% of leagues), Kellen Winslow (available in 90% of leagues), or Dennis Pitta (currenly available in 77% of leagues).
