The Washington Redskins face off against the 4-0 Atlanta Falcons this Sunday at 1PM. Falcons QB Matt Ryan has 11 TDs so far in only 4 weeks, 102/147 for 1162 yards. Impressive. What’s more impressive? Mr. Robert Griffin III. He’s not only thrown 4 TDs, but has 4 of his own rushing, 86/124 for 1070 yards AND was just chosen as the Rookie of the Month. He’s proven his toughness and maturity after only 1 month. Even though the Redskins’ pass defense is so bad, the Redskins have the #2 rushing offense against the Falcon’s #29 rush defense (which includes the # 5 RB in the league Alfred Morris).

S Brandon Meriweather is out, CB Cedric Griffin is out. The defense is hurting, but Captain Awesomeness London Fletcher is not concerned. “I think we’ve done some good things. There are a lot of things we need to improve on,” Fletcher said. “We’re 2-2 through the first quarter of the season. Would we love to be 3-1, 4-0? Yes. We feel good about our football team.”

I lived in Greene County Virginia for about 5 years of my childhood. This span of time was enough to imprint the love of the Washington Redskins (and hate of the Dallas Cowboys) into my life forever, even though I am Canadian and still live in Canada. I am in no way an expert on sports, football, or even the Redskins, but I do absolutely adore them, their fans and their home state(s).
My favourite Redskin is and will always be Darrell Green (not because we share the same last name lol). I've adored Chris Cooley since he joined the team from the 2004 draft and love London Fletcher.
