The Badgers bounced back from some early season blunders to beat Illinois 31-14 on Saturday. The offense looked better than it has the previous weeks of the season.
QB Joel Stave got the offense going with 254 yards in the air, 2 scores and a pick. On the ground Montee Ball got it going with 19 carries for 116 yards rushing and 2 scores. The passing was productive with Jared Abbrederis having 7 catches for 117 yards and 1 score.
Illinois’s struggles continued on offense again on Saturday, with one of the only positives being QB Nathan Scheelhaase. He passed for 178 yards and rushed for another 84, scoring twice, one on a 5 yard run and another 8 yard pass to Ryan Lankford.
