After the Texans ended their Monday night losing streak vs the Jets, Houston now plays on Sunday night against the Packers. Green Bay hasn’t been anywhere near the team that they were last year but you still have to count them in every game because of Aaron Rodgers.
The Texans defense lost a key member last week when Brian Cushing went down for the season with a torn ACL. I honestly don’t know how big of a loss Cushing will be on this team but I do know they still have JJ Watt. He has been a monster this season. As long as they have him the defense should be great as he is emerging as a superstar in this league.
Green Bay has struggled to protect Aaron Rodgers this season and that can be very problematic when facing Houston because they already pressure the QB so well. Something is just missing for the Packers, they almost look out of sync. Definitely not the 15-1 team everyone saw last season.
Houston’s offense should have no problems scoring as they are very balanced and that will help negate the pass rush that the Packers have. I think Green Bay can keep it close but Arian Foster makes the difference in this game because the Packers no have no one that can run the football.
Matt Schaub- 25-30 275 2 TD’s
Arian Foster- 28 carries for 115 yards TD
Andre Johnson 5 catches 45 yards
Defense 3 sacks and 2 turnovers
Texans win 28-21
