The Green Bay Packers take on the Houston Texans tonight and look to try and turn the season around.
Tonight may be the toughest game the Packers have all year against the best team in the NFL. If the Packers offense can finally get things going like they are capable of, they will be able to come away with a win, but they need to play flawless football. Aaron Rodgers needs to come out and get the offense to finally click and return to his MVP form.
Another player who should have a big impact on the game is Alex Green. It has been a while since there was a running back to be excited about, but Green is that guy. He is a powerful runner with an explosive burst who fits the Packers spread offense perfectly since he ran out of the spread in Hawaii. Look for him to take advantage of a Houston defense who needs to figure themselves out with the loss of Brian Cushing.
While the Texans defense lost Cushing they still have the most dominate defensive player in the game right now in J.J. Watt. The Packers need to find ways to negate him with running screens and draws away from him.
The true question is which defense for the Packers shows up. They have to stop Texans dominate running game, or at least slow it down. If they can do that, they will have a shot to beat the Texans.
At the end of the day the Texans are the better team. The Packers lose 31-38 in a Texas shoot out.
