Felix Jones – I’m not particularly a big fan of Fragile Felix, but under the circumstances and after his strong performance against the Ravens, Jones will likely be the top priority on waivers this week. The Cowboys offensive line began to assert itself this week, and with DeMarco Murray already declared out for this next week and maybe more, Felix will get the start and a decent match up against the Panthers in Carolina. He may split time with Phillip Tanner and to a lesser extent Lance Dunbar. He is currently available in 76% of leagues.
William Powell – He put up some strong stats against the low ranked Bills run defense, averaging 5.4 YPC, but he won’t likely get those same openings against the Vikings this next week. However, he did enough to warrant an increased load for next week and is still worth stashing. He is currently available in 69% of leagues.
Matt Hasselbeck – Jake Locker has been declared out for at least another week, and so Hasselbeck will draw the start against the Bills this week. With Kenny Britt beginning to show signs of pre-injury form and a solid match up, he is worth grabbing if you need a QB for this week. He is currently available in 93% of leagues.
Josh Gordon – After 2 solid games, where he has had 181 yards and 3 TDs, the rookie is worth adding in most leagues. He has yet to log more than 3 receptions in a game though, so PPR leaguers beware and don’t drop anyone too significant in pursuit. He has gained some rapport with starting QB Brandon Weeden, and could become the Browns top option in the pass if he continues to improve. He is currently available in 85% of leagues.
Joel Dreessen – He saw more targets this Monday than did starter Jacob Tamme, and he has been a more reliable red zone target for Peyton Manning. The Broncos will be on their BYE this Sunday so owners may want to take a wait and see approach. He is currently available in 86% of leagues.
Others still available: Christian Ponder (60% of leagues), Devery Henderson (92% of leagues), David Wilson (75% of leagues), LeGarrette Blount (82% of leagues), Montario Hardesty (97% of leagues), and Jared Cook (49% of leagues).
