Week 7: What to Look For- Ravens Battle with the Texans

The Ravens will be facing the Texans in what will be the toughest battle they’ve yet to face this season. Can Baltimore keep their winning streak going, or will the Texans come back after their loss last week? Here’s what to look for in week 7.

Offense:

  • The Ravens have been putting games into the hands of veteran QB Joe Flacco.  Watch for Joe to step up and have a great game.  With Ray Lewis out, other members of the team will have to rise up and become emotional leaders for the team, expect Joe to contribute to that.

Defense:

  • With three of Baltimore’s big playmakers out (Suggs, Lewis, Webb), look out for younger players to get their number called.  2nd year draft pick Jimmy Smith will fill in for Ladarius Webb while Danelle Ellerbe will be filling in for the injured Ray Lewis.  Watch for unfamiliar names making plays in this week’s game.

Special Teams:

  • The Raven’s haven’t had too many highlights on special teams this year.  Special teams plays can make or break a team.  Watch for the speedster Jacoby Jones to make some explosive plays and help the Raven’s team beat the Texans.
