Week 8 Preview: Redskins Steelers Preview

Just when your team gets some good news with the announcement that Cooley is back, it’s possible London Fletcher’s consecutive –games streak may end this weekend.  Fletcher has been suffering from “balances issues” and has missed 2 consecutive practices.  There is no proof of concussion, but it’s troubling, especially from this fan who loves London.

“If he’s able to go, you know he’s going to be able to go. But I’m sure he’s a little scared, too, because any time you deal with a balance issue, it’s something that’s out of your control,” Shanahan said. “London’s a smart guy. He wants to play, but at the same time, he understands that if there’s something wrong with your balance, that’s a pretty tough situation to be in and he’s smart enough not to put his body into a situation that could hurt him.”

Other injury news WR Pierre Garcon has torn ligament on the bottom of his right foot.  He may have surgery, which would end the season or other routes, which still means he’s out this weekend.

So that’s the bad news.  The good news?  The Redskins are sitting at #1 for rushing offense against the Steelers’ #9 rushing defense.  This will be the Griffin-Morris show as both these rookies are on fire and can run, get yards, score and take lots of time off the clock.  The Redskins also released RB Ryan Grant, who literally only had the ball for one rush, and signed Keiland Williams.  Welcome back Keiland as well!

How about some more bad news?  The Redskins are facing the #6 passing offense and the Skins have the worst, yes #32 passing defense in the NFL.  So basically it doesn’t matter how amazing RG3 is, how many yards Morris can rush because if you can’t defend the pass, you can’t win.   This must get fixed ASAP.  The only way to stop a pass from the beginning is to sack Ben.  Kerrigan that’s all you now.   Let’s see Big Ben go down.

Game start is 1PM.
