Bennie Fowler’s TD catch in OT was enough to snap Wisconsin’s 21 game home win streak Saturday night. Michigan State escaped Camp Randall with a 16-13 OT win.
That win gives the Spartans 4 out of the last 6 victories against WI, who going into yesterday was ranked 25 in the BCS standings. The loss snaps WI’s home win streak which had been in place since Oct 17, 2009 and only the 4th under Coach Brett Bielema.
Wisconsin only put up 19 rushing yards, their fewest in 5 years. Montee Ball was held to 46 yards total and James White added 16.
Joel Stave was 9 of 11 for 127 yards before injuring his shoulder. He did not return the rest of the game. Wisconsin is now (6-3, 3-2 Big Ten). Michigan State is (5-4, 2-3 Big Ten).
