Head Coach Eric Spoelstra doesn’t like the word, and it seems like he doesn’t really like the simple idea of a champion repeating. Maybe it’s really that he doesn’t want his players thinking about simply repeating their steps in order to win a championship. It doesn’t really matter. The Miami Heat are one of the big favorites to win the NBA title this year. LeBron, DWade, and Chris Bosh will have an excellent chance to repeat, but it is far from a done deal.
The Heat are defending NBA Champions, but many people are pointing to the Boston Celtics as the favorite in the East, and even more people want to pencil the Lakers in as NBA Champions before a game has been played. Tonight the Heat open their season against the Celtics. It will be interesting to see what the energy is like when the team takes the floor.
Wade, James, and Co should handle this game easily, but you never know. Boston always plays Miami close and i expect Tue night to be no different. The Heat should win a tight one.
