Monday Morning Hangover: Who’s out there?

I can’t look at the Pats, so let’s take a look at the teams they may be facing in the playoffs. Now who are legitimate playoff teams? Who are legitimate contenders? And who do the Pats have to worry about if they make it to the Super Bowl?
In this AFC there are a lot of teams floating around at the bottom of the pack. There are three teams that can make it to the playoffs. None of which will have a bye. Those three teams are the Dolphins, Colts, and Chargers.
The Dolphins have the second best rookie QB in the NFL. Reggie Bush is hot and pulling out some sick moves. There defense is hard nose and has the ability to stop someone when they need to. They are a scary team and may make it past the Broncos or Ravens and meet the Pats in the second round.
The Colts have the best rookie QB in the NFL. They also may have the easiest road to the end of the season. They have three straight wins and are an honest opponent for anyone. They have a true test against the Pats soon and we will see what they can really do. If they make the playoffs they will beat no one, but good for their coach.
The Chargers look weak and are only in these teams because they sit at four and four in a weak division. However, especially if Rivers keeps doing what he is doing, they are looking at losses to Denver, Baltimore, and Tampa. This will be three straight losses and it may get worse from there. Rivers will have one more year to turn it around and Norv will be fired.
There are three teams that will be able to straight beat the Pats in the playoffs. Those teams are the Steelers, Baltimore, and Houston.
The Steelers are always scary, but after their win over the Giants they are looking better and better. Roethlisberger continues to be one of the best, Redman is getting better and better, and everything is just going up. Even if they do not have a bye it is looking good for them.
Houston, record wise, is the second best team in the NFL. This is unbelievably scary and they maintain my Super Bowl pick. It is scary because Schuab and Johnson have not even come close to hitting their grove and, when they do, they will be the best team in the NFL. They have a top three defense and will eventually have the best offense, and a ring.
Baltimore is a team on the downfall. They beat Cleveland, but who can’t. There defense is looking average and if they are average this team starts to look average. While they have a great wide receiving core, Flacco is not playing how he was in the beginning. If Rice can handle thirty-five carries a game they may have a chance. But that is their only chance.
There are two teams that I think may make it to the Super Bowl. Those teams are the Giants and Packers.
The Packers have the best QB in the NFL right now and that is what it is all about in today’s game. There defense still knows how to get turnovers and find big sacks. They are my pick and I hope they can do it because I do not want the other team back in the show.
If the Giants beat the Pats again in the Super Bowl I may commit suicide. Unfortunately, I think they have the capability to do so. But both of these teams play better as the underdog and if the Pats and Giants make it back to the Super Bowl the Pats will be the underdog. Hopefully, win by a field goal.
Notice I did not mention Denver. They can never beat the Pats. Plain and simple.
