The Green Bay Packers cannot be happier to see their bye week at this point in the season, because they desperately need it to get healthy.
While the Green Bay Packers beat the Arizona Cardinals to bring their record to 6-3 heading into their bye, the injuries are once again piling up for the Packers.
Linebacker Clay Matthews left the game with a hamstring injury, wide receiver Jordy Nelson left the game with an ankle injury and right tackle Brian Bulaga left with a hip injury. All three of the players did not return to the game.
The Packers have other notible players hurting as well, but the Packers, once again are finding ways to win football games and it goes to show the depth they have on their roster.
The 31-17 win was very nice and once again receivers Randall Cobb and James Jones are continuing to produce big time for the Packers and it’s nice to see especially with Greg Jennings, Nelson and the struggling Jermichael Finley not on the field and performing.
The Packers appear to be getting better each week and that is all coach Mike McCarthy can ask of his team, but this week, he needs to ask them to get healthy as the tough stretch of divisional games are right around the corner.
