It was a blah game. The Redskins lost by 8 points (21-13) and yes I’m going to talk about that TD by the Panthers that was technically called dead by the refs. The Panthers player was running parallel to the sideline and the ref clearly whistled him out of bounds and the play dead, yet he kept running into the end zone while a couple Redskins defenders slowed down and stopped. The refs convened and then decided to call it a TD. So basically, if you hear a whistle, assume it’s wrong and keep going?
Anyway, the Redskins did not show much in the way of offense. They did get 3/5 4th down a conversion, which is good, but RG3 went 23/39 for 215 yards and no TDs. The only TD was from Evan Royster. The Redskins defense only allowed 21 points, so that’s not terrible, but there were no sacks and Cam Newton was able to score his own running TD.
The Redskins head into a Bye week next week and RG3 seems to think the team will magically turn great after 1 week. If they had all the injured players back maybe, but it’s frustrating to watch the talent go to losses.
The Giants lost and the Cowboys lost so the Redskins are sitting at last with their arch rival. If the Eagles lose tonight, which is possible, all 3 will be in the same stink as the Redskins.

Written by Mercedes Green
I lived in Greene County Virginia for about 5 years of my childhood. This span of time was enough to imprint the love of the Washington Redskins (and hate of the Dallas Cowboys) into my life forever, even though I am Canadian and still live in Canada. I am in no way an expert on sports, football, or even the Redskins, but I do absolutely adore them, their fans and their home state(s). My favourite Redskin is and will always be Darrell Green (not because we share the same last name lol). I've adored Chris Cooley since he joined the team from the 2004 draft and love London Fletcher. Hail to the Redskins! See you October 30th in my home town of Toronto.
