Bulls Put On Shades to Dim Suns

The Chicago Bulls pulled through in an overtime victory over the Phoenix Suns 112-106 Wednesday night. The Bulls improved to 5-3 on the year, 2-0 on the road, with the victory and continue to try and hold steady until Derrick Rose is able to make his much anticipated season debut in late December or early January. As long as the Bulls can maintain the pace they are going they should be sitting comfortably when Rose comes back to make a run into the playoffs.
The Bulls were led by Carlos Boozer who had 28 points to go with 14 rebounds as well as 3 assists to help lead this team to victory and continues to be a key figure in both the Bulls wins and losses. Boozer needs to keep up the solid production if the Bulls want to keep winning while Derrick Rose is out because there are times where his offensive game takes a hiatus and without Rose the Bulls will be in trouble when that happens. This was a solid game for the Bulls as there were three other starters in double figures as well as Nate Robinson with 11 points off of the bench. Joakim Noah and Luol Deng each had 21 points and Noah had a double-double with 12 rebounds as well and then Richard Hamilton was able to put up a solid 15 point effort. The Bulls as a team shot 50 percent (44-88) from the floor as well as a solid 72 percent from the free throw line. The Bulls could improve from the foul line but with their solid shooting and stout defensive effort they typically put forth it is a recipe for success and wins.
The Bulls continue to play without Derrick Rose and it’s a huge loss with his playing ability and also his leadership. When Rose is on the court there is no doubt who the team leader and emotional leader is as he gives one hundred and ten percent night in and night out when he steps foot on the court. The Bulls are a playoff team without him, but near the bottom third of the Eastern Conference. However, with him they challenge for one of the top three seeds in the playoffs and can make a push for home court but unfortunately that will be unlikely this season with his projected return not until around Christmas time or early January.
