Redskins Take Third With Win Over Eagles

Posted By Mercedes Green On Nov 19 2012 @ 9:25 am In Washington Redskins | No Comments

I thought it was hard being a Redskins fan.  I would hate to be an Eagles fan after that dismal performance yesterday.  The Redskins D took advantage of the Rookie QB Foles and got 4 sacks on him.  Foles also threw 2 interceptions very early in the 1st quarter, of which the Skins got 7 points from.

The Eagles’ poor showing aside, this was RG3’s day.  I am still amazed to watch this guy play.  He has learned more in 10 weeks as a starter than many QBs in their 3rd, 4th or 5th
year.  He suffered a minor concussion but learnt from it and always takes the sidelines versus the yardage and is sliding when running midfield.  He gets it.  He’s a great runner and actually recorded the more rushing yards than Alfred Morris with 84. Even more he’s smart and makes calls that work.  After he saw a flag thrown against the Eagles he threw a whopper to Santana Moss who was doubled covered.  Moss actually caught it and scored a TD, but Griffin took the risk and trusted his receiver to make the catch.  Who does that in their rookie year??  Oh and he also threw 3 more TDs for a total of 4.  And his completion rate?  14/15 for 200 yards.

The defense and offense welcomed back the injured S Brandon Meriweather, who got an interception, and WR Pierre Garcon, who only accounted for 5 yards.  The bye week seems to have helped this team out, especially now that they have a very short week and play the Cowboys on Thanksgiving.

Here are all the offensive numbers.
