On a day in which we are supposed to be thankful for everything we have the New York Jets are not exactly thanking those who put together the NFL schedule.
The Jets will take on the division rival New England Patriots at MetLife Stadium on Thursday night. It’s a must win for New York, who is now 4-6 and coming off a big win last week.
Thankfully for the Jets they don’t need to worry about Rob Gronkowski. He suffered a broken forearm during the Patriots’ victory on Sunday and will be out for an extended period of time.
That being said, New England still has plenty of weapons to play with. Their newly found running game has helped balance this offense and they are scary. As usual Tom Brady has been spreading the ball around and has only thrown three interceptions all season. The Jets will have to win the turnover battle in order to keep up with New England’s offense.
It’s no secret the Jets have struggled to score points for the better part of this season. It has been said before and it will be said again, they need to mix it up on offense. Get creative. Let Mark Sanchez throw the ball deep down the field and allow Tim Tebow to showcase his athleticism. The Jets just need to let it rip.
Turkey day is supposed to be a joyous holiday and what better way to celebrate than with a win against your rival. Whenever these two teams face off it’s always an intense contest and this will surely be another one. Eat some turkey and enjoy the show.
Final Score: Patriots 31 Jets 24
