The Houston Texans survived a scare last week against the 1-0 Jacksonville Jaguars but hey a wins a win right? Now they have a short week and have to get ready to play the Detriot Lions on Thanksgiving. Detriot has been one of the NFL’s most inconsistent teams this season. They have looked like the playoff team from last year at times and then they have looked like the old lions. Which team will show up on Thursday?
The same can be said for Houston but about their defense. This isn’t the first time that they have been torched defensively this season. Detriot has a very explosive offense and can score with any team in the NFL especially now that Calvin Johnson has really been putting up good numbers the last couple of weeks. He will be a mathcup nightmare for any team including the Texans this week.
Matt Schaub threw for the 2nd most yards ever in an NFL with 527. That tied him with Warren Moon. However, Arian Foster didn’t have such a good game. He carried the ball 28 times and tallied 90 yards. Look for the Texnas to get him going early against Detriot to setup the play action pass the Houston loves to use. Foster will have to have a better day along with the defense if they want to beat Detriot.
Predictions:
Schaub: 18-25 230 yards 2 TD’s
Foster: 28 carries 110 yards 2 TD
Johnson: 8 catches 95 yards TD
Defense: 3 sacks 3 turnovers
Houston wins 31-28
