The Washington Redskins have ended their losing streak against the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving by humiliating them in Dallas. By halftime, the Redskins were up 28-3 and I thought I may be dreaming. My family and I were yelling, screaming, jumping up and down so much that my neighbours had to ask if everything was okay.
I must admit that the 4th quarter had me worried. The Redskins allowed 18 points to bring Dallas to 31 points, but when the Cowboys tried for an onside kick, it was recovered by DeAngelo Hall and he stopped a yard short of the end zone. This showed a tremendous amount of restraint for a Redskin not to score against the Cowboys but any chance of giving the Cowboys the ball, even with seconds, is a risk. Redskins final 38-31.
The Redskins were a pass throwing, TD scoring team like I have not seen in so long. Griffin threw for 311 yards for 4 TDs. Morris has another 100+ yard game. The receivers to score the touchdowns were all different players: Garcon, Robinson, Moss and Paul. And the defense? 2 interceptions and a forced fumble. Tackles forcing incompletes. Fletcher was amazing!
The Redskins are sitting at the #2 spot in the NFC East. They play the 6-4 Giants on Monday Night Football, and still play the Eagles and Cowboys again. If they can get all 3 of these wins, I don’t wanna jinx it but the Poffs might be a possibility now.
RG3! HTTR! See you on Monday Night Football!

Written by Mercedes Green
I lived in Greene County Virginia for about 5 years of my childhood. This span of time was enough to imprint the love of the Washington Redskins (and hate of the Dallas Cowboys) into my life forever, even though I am Canadian and still live in Canada. I am in no way an expert on sports, football, or even the Redskins, but I do absolutely adore them, their fans and their home state(s). My favourite Redskin is and will always be Darrell Green (not because we share the same last name lol). I've adored Chris Cooley since he joined the team from the 2004 draft and love London Fletcher. Hail to the Redskins! See you October 30th in my home town of Toronto.
