Taking advantage of the Rookie
Posted By James Scoggins Jr. On Nov 25 2012 @ 11:48 pm In St. Louis Rams | No Comments
The St. Louis Rams took complete advantage of the Arizona Cardinals rookie quarterback, Ryan Lindley. Lindley made his first NFL start in Sundays match-up and it showed. Lindley threw 4 interceptions against the Rams defense, who were craving for some turnovers. The Rams defense absolutely abused the rookie quarterback and shut down Beanie Wells and the Cardinal running game, despite his 2 touchdown scampers.
More importantly the offense was fueled by the strong play of the defense and went to work. The Cardinal defense that was stout in the early parts of the season is beginning to fizzle out. Sam Bradford went 8/17 for 205 yards and two 37 yards touchdown tosses. The running game was sensational as well. Steven Jackson pounded the Cardinal defense rushing for 139 yards on 24 carries and averaged 5.8 yards a carry. With this recipe Jeff Fisher and his Rams will definitely upset a few playoff teams remaining on their schedule.
