The Redskins have won 3 straight divisional wins in a row: Eagles, then Cowboys and now the Giants. Although RG3 is the dominant presence of the game, this group of players is coming together as a great team and one to beat.
The game was dominated by the Giants offense on the field with over 33 minutes total. The Redskins D was tired but worked every bit for this win. They did allow a few big yardage passes by Manning, but kept him to only 280 yards total and only 117 yards rushing. They did get Eli sacked once late in the 4th when it counted the most.
The big story of the night is Rookie RB Alfred Morris breaking the 1000 yards rushing point (yes he fumbled too which prevented a Redskins TD but made up for it). He now has a total of 1,106 yards breaking Reggie Brooks’ record. As for RG3? He has broken Cam Newton’s previous 703 rushing yards record and sits at 707 after posting 72 yards rushing last night. He confused and dominated the Giants’ defense. His fakes even confused me. His biggest mistake last night turned into his biggest play as he was brought down the ball came out and what I thought was a pass to Morgan was actually fumbled into Morgan’s hands, who then ran in for a TD. It was crazy and amazing.
Let’s not forget WR Pierre Garcon, who almost missed out on the entire season with an injury, got the only real TD and 106 yards. London Fletcher was mic’d last night and this is the man that should be celebrated too. His heart and leadership on this team is priceless.
The Redskins are sitting at 2nd place, tied with the Cowboys at 6-6 (bleh) and are now 1 game away from the Giants for first. They still have to play the Ravens, Browns, Eagles then end the season with the Cowboys (2 divisional games left). The Cowboys have Bengals, Steelers, Saints and Skins (1 divisional game). The Giants have the Saints, Falcons, Ravens and Eagles (1 divisional game). The Redskins have the advantage with 2 divisional games and an easier end to the season. I see the Giants and Skins at 9-7 at the end.

I lived in Greene County Virginia for about 5 years of my childhood. This span of time was enough to imprint the love of the Washington Redskins (and hate of the Dallas Cowboys) into my life forever, even though I am Canadian and still live in Canada. I am in no way an expert on sports, football, or even the Redskins, but I do absolutely adore them, their fans and their home state(s). My favourite Redskin is and will always be Darrell Green (not because we share the same last name lol). I've adored Chris Cooley since he joined the team from the 2004 draft and love London Fletcher. Hail to the Redskins! See you October 30th in my home town of Toronto.
