This week’s game against the Broncos will not be an easy game for the Ravens. With two consecutive losses the Ravens need to step up their game if they want to stand a chance against Manning and his team.
Here’s what to expect for this week’s game:
With Jim Caldwell now calling the plays for the offense, look for a faster pace type of play. This could spark the dull offensive series we’ve seen in previous games this series. Joe Flacco needs to step up and lead this team to victory. Watch for Ray Rice, Anquan Boldin, and Torrey Smith to also add a spark and lead the offense.
With Peyton Manning averaging 284 pass yards per game this season, look for the Raven’s secondary to get plenty of work this week. The defensive line can take some of the pressure off of the secondary by putting pressure on Manning and force him to get rid of the ball faster. Haloti Ngata, Paul Kruger, Terrell Suggs and the rest of the d-line need to be on their “A” game.
The kicking phase of special teams has been on point this entire season for the Ravens. If any breakdowns have occurred it has been on the coverage aspect. Look for Ravens to have their coverage lanes filled and minimal return yardage for the Broncos. Also keep an eye out for Jacoby Jones to break a return to the end zone, as he has showed us he can do.
