Week 16 Preview: Redskins Eagles

I will have the joy of watching this game in Playa del Carmen, Mexico and hopefully the pleasure of seeing the Redskins get into the Playoffs.  Yes, there is a possibility this weekend for that to happen.  Here’s what has to happen:  Obviously they have to beat the Eagles.  If the Giants, Bears AND Vikings lose, Redskins are in.  If the Skins win their last 2 games, they win the divisional title.  That’s what I’d like to see!  The Giants still face the Ravens and the Eagles.  The Cowboys meet the Saints and Redskins.  Both the Redskins AND Cowboys cannot end at 10-6 since they play each other the final game, so it’s going to come down the wire.

Last week Rookie QB “Never Say Never” Kirk Cousins threw an NFL nominated game against the Browns. They have lost OL Jordan Black for “violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances.”   The Redskins are not new to injuries though and have seemed to play better with them.  The defense, although still overall down at 29th overall, saw much improvement last week.  This game will clearly stick to Shanahan’s football of sticking with the run game, and then play whatever offense you can with whichever QB will start.  They will do fine with either.

RG3 was in full practice today but it will come down to what the doctors say.  I think it would be amazing to drop in both RG3 and KC1 to really, really mess up the defense.
