I can barely even write about this game as I’m still in utter shock over RG3 playing almost all 4 quarters of the game with a knee injury. He was limping in the 2nd quarter and was shocked that he was out again in the 3rd. There is much controversy over him being able to play. It’s clear that RG3 wanted to play and that he felt he had to play for the Redskins to win. Shanahan listened and allowed it. Robert Griffin is a rookie and Shanahan is a seasoned coach. If he was serious about building a winning franchise with this new quarterback, risking further injury for a chance of continuing in the playoffs is unconscionable. Even IF they managed the win, there would be no way RG3 could continue to play next week. It made no sense. Kirk Cousins proved himself a few weeks ago and he should be been playing the start of the 3rd quarter. Even if he didn’t get the TDs that RG3 did, we have the best kicker who easily could have kicked a few in putting the score more like 24-23.
RG3 re-injured his knee late in the 4th. He wasn’t hit, but due to the horrible condition of the field he hyper extended his knee, this time to the right instead of like last time where it extended in front of his knee. Typically he is very vocal on Twitter but was silent last night, which has this Skins fan worried that we’ve lost him. Someone will pay for the mistake of letting him play; Even more so depending on the extent of the injury.
The Redskins’ defense played a fantastic first half, but just could not keep the pace to the improving Seahawk offenses in the 2nd. What’s even sadder, if that’s even possible after last night, is that London Fletcher may have played his last game. He is one of the main reasons the Redskins ended with a Divisional Title and not seeing him on the field next year is disheartening. “I’ll take some time to let the emotions of the season kind of get away, refresh a little bit and then sit down with my family and make the decision from there as far as whether I’ll continue to play or not,” Fletcher said Sunday.
So yes, the Redskins lost and the Seahawks continue next week against the Falcons. The only thing we as fans can do right now is await the official diagnosis of RG3’s knee then see who will be taking the grunt of the responsibility for him being allowed to play.
HTTR for life.

I lived in Greene County Virginia for about 5 years of my childhood. This span of time was enough to imprint the love of the Washington Redskins (and hate of the Dallas Cowboys) into my life forever, even though I am Canadian and still live in Canada. I am in no way an expert on sports, football, or even the Redskins, but I do absolutely adore them, their fans and their home state(s). My favourite Redskin is and will always be Darrell Green (not because we share the same last name lol). I've adored Chris Cooley since he joined the team from the 2004 draft and love London Fletcher. Hail to the Redskins! See you October 30th in my home town of Toronto.
