When the Caps have an off period it seems to be insurmountable

Although the Caps won in overtime tonight against the Florida Panthers 6-5, period-wise they went 1-1-1, they lost the first period, tied in the second and won the third. In total for the season after tonight, in terms of periods, Washington has won fifteen periods, lost sixteen, and tied eight, why are they only 4-8-1 on the year right now? Wild win in Shootout

The Wild came away with a much needed win on what would be Mikko Koivu's 500th career game. The Wild winning for the first time in 5 games while on a road trip. Wild Goal Niklas Backstrom was great at goal with 23 saves. Kyle Brodziak scored in regulation to tie the game at 1 a piece, Jiri Hudler scored for the Flames.
