The fourth pre-season game for teams is all about the “bubble players,” players who may or may not make the team. Many of the starters opt to not play the fourth pre-season game to rest up for the start of regular season. That gives a tremendous opportunity to the “bubble” players to take more reps than usual and to show the coaches they are worthy to make the 53 man roster. A big position which has been up in the air the whole pre-season is that of the Wide Receivers. Watch for Tandon Doss, Marlon Brown, Aaron Mellette, and LaQuan Williams to play their best ball and prove themselves to the coaches. The running back position also has a completion for the back up spots. Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce are the Raven’s one-two punch, but who will be the third running back? Bobby Rainey, Anthony Allen, and Delone Carter are all fighting for one spot, watch for a tight battle between these bubble players. Also watch for DeAngelo Tyson (DE), Omar Brown (S), Matt Furstenburg (TE), and Caleb Hanie (QB). These players will have to make a statement with their abilities if they wish to make the 53 man roster.
